COVID-19 Information

BUH is committed to providing safe and exceptional care, and supporting our community throughout the pandemic.

Coming to BUH

Across our health network, we continue to have some temporary measures in place to help protect the safety of patients, family members, and staff.

Screening at Entrances

Everyone entering the hospital must self-screen for COVID-19, clean their hands and put on a medical mask. The mask must be worn at all times while at the hospital.

  • We will have self-screening poster stands at the entrances with key health questions. Patients, visitors and vendors who enter the hospital are confirming that they have passed their self-screening.
  • Self-screening includes confirming you have not tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 10 days or been directed to self-isolate, and you do not have any symptoms (including fever and/or chills, new onset of cough/worsening chronic cough, sore throat, runny nose, muscle aches, new nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, or decreased or loss of sense of smell or taste).
  • Hospital-approved medical masks will also be provided at the entrance that patients, visitors and vendors will be required to wear at all times while at the hospital.
  • When visitors get to the patient unit, please first go to the Team Care Station and check in with the Unit Clerk. You may be required to put on additional Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. gown, gloves), or the clerk may have other important information for you.

Thank you for your ongoing cooperation and support. You are helping to keep our patients, health care workers, and community safe!
